Hop on Pop

One of G's favorite books is Hop on Pop (he also loves to hop on pop).  He even has the Pop stuffed animal. That he calls his Pop friend.  Too cute....
so it came to me last night to try to do a Hop on Pop lunch.  Now let me start out by saying that I am so envious of the lunches that  John from What's in John's Lunch Bag. gets... that in my mind I saw this lunch as a direct copy of the cover.......
 










yeah right.. my talents are not that great.... I thought for about 10 min that I could do this.. and then when nope... ok so the next plan... cookie cutters.... I can do that...

So this is what G got... it is my interpretation of Hop on Pop

So its no where a whimsical as Dr. Seuss would do or even John's mom.. but hey its mine and I still think it is kind of cute.

So I made the bears out of open faces cheese and bread sandwiches, the words from swiss and cheddar cheese.. he has the rest of the cheese, strawberries cut into flowers, and then turkey.  As usual on the outside he has a yogurt, and juice and for fun gummies..

I can still keep dreaming that someday I can recreate a better Hop on Pop and since I won the natural color powders from What's in John's Lunch Bag blog maybe I will.. Can't wait to get them and try them out!
