No School, but a request

I guess G really liked the pig the other day, so he asked for it again today.  His only change was he wanted it to be the pig that built the brick house.  He asked for the same foods as yesterday.

Pig cheese sandwich, with just bread house.  Turkey, Carrots, strawberries and a cookie.  Simple lunch to eat with the babysitter.

The kissing hand

G had summer reading this summer (or summer listening) and his favorite book was The Kissing Hand. I love it so much at this time of year.

So we themed his lunch to it. I've made kissing hand lunches before but I try to change it up.

This year I used my cuddle palz to make a raccoon and my hand cookie cutter.  I think it turned out cute

On top of a slice of turkey we have the bread raccoon and a cheese hand. Strawberries and carrots and a cookie roun up his lunch.

Reading a book

G has come home from school the last 2 day and actually told me about his day. And he always tells me about the books he reads. Lending me to come up with this lunch.

I asked him to pick out a character ( he picked pig) and then what a pig should read. He thought it would be hilarious to have a pig read the big bad wolf.... I kind of thought that funny too.

Lunch is

Pig cheese sandwich. Cheese book with turkey under it. Strawberries with a cookie under it, carrots and a yogurt (not pictured)

Friday Lunchable

Today is G's meet the teacher morning. We are excited to go and see his room. He starts on Monday :). How did it get here so quick. Well today's lunch really doesn't go with a theme. He just told me I had to include 2 pieces of cheese. Pepperoni and bacon.  So I made a Lunchable type lunch.

Cheese triangles pepperoni and bacon, circle bread and cheese crackers. Carrots and gummies (I ran out of fruit yesterday bad mom).

He will be headed to sitter after our visit at school so I hope he likes it.

I also have to give a shout out to my wonderful boss who understands when I have to do something with G.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone

Very busy day yesterday and it makes me miss my summer lazy days with g. We love to sit and watch butterflies. Ok well maybe sit isn't a good word for g. He likes to watch and chase :).

So just a simple butterfly today.

Off to another day of meeting with fabulous teachers.

Back to school for Mommy

So yesterday was my first day "back to school". It was good to see all my coworkers but sad to leave g and no longer be just a summer mum......

G doesn't go back till next week but he is with a sitter so I'm starting to get back into the groove.

His lunch yesterday
Simple. How I love my new cuddle palz. How easy they make lunch :).

So my little hamster is a cheese Sammie flying over some ham. Carrots and apples.

Today he has "sushi"
Ham and cheese roll ups, some with bread and cheddar and others with just ham and mozzarella.  Some plain bread flowers just in case he doesn't like it all together. And some carrots he can use his chopstick for all of them.

Yogurt and apples on the side.

Off to do some professional development for some amazing teachers. Till tomorrow

Back to school time

I cannot believe it is almost back to school ... I go,back next week and g goes back the following. I thought I would take this time to just look back at some of the lunches I have made for back to school.  I have been now making bento type lunches for just about 3 years. And I have learned so much for following some great bento bloggers. I try to make my lunches with my ownbut do get my ideas many times from others so I also want to take this time to say thanks to my fellow lunch makers you guys rock. I only hope that at some point in time someone gets ideas form me..

Here are some of the lunches I have made in the past.

Hope I can come up with some cute things this year.

Printique - awesome
