Some summer Lunches

G wanted to help with his lunch the other day, so I let him pick out some cutters, help line them up and he cut out his shapes.

He picked two dinosaurs and wanted brachiosaurs out of bread and the trex out of cheese.  He told me not to cut the turkey, and he placed everything on the plate right were he wanted it.  Too cute.


Then we made this simple lunch together yesterday...

Grapes, carrots, crackers, cheddar flowers and turkey.

Batman Birthday Lunch

On G's Birthday he wanted a Batman theme... so I made a special lunch, with cupcakes (bought)

Lunch

Batman is bread and cheese colored with my food safe gels.  Cheddar and swiss bats,  grapes on a sticks, a sweet pepper (which he traded for carrots) and crackers

Last Day

Today is the last day of school!  I am very excited to be able to spend the summer with hubby and G!  G is excited to be able to be home!

Today's Lunch was to make G think of what was to come...

A beach scene out of bread, and Swiss cheese umbrella, cheddar sun and number 1.  I got new cups at Hobby Lobby 40% off :) and they have turkey and cheese, carrots and strawberries and he also has small cookies. 

I am sure I will be posting things over the summer,  but I won't be as religious as I have been for the school year.  So we will be back in full force with lunches in August.  G starts "real" school.. aughhhh..... I am gonna enjoy ever moment I can this summer with him.

We have 3 days of school left.. woo hoo...

So today's lunch represents that...

He has left over chicken nuggets, and french fries, the lid has the 3 days and a bear out of Swiss and cheddar cheese.  Strawberries, carrots, gummy bears, and a cookie.

Papa please get me the moon

Monday night when we were driving home there was the most beautiful full moon.  The clouds were just perfect and it was such a pretty orange.
So G asked for me to read the book Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me (World of Eric Carle) which I did.. and Tuesday's lunch had to represent it...

The moon is bread, Swiss and cheddar cheese.. bread ladder.. cheese its for the mountains

Strawberries, carrots (a cookie under it) Turkey, and cheese.

Well its the final stretch.. only 5 more lunches that I have to make....
My creative juices are getting spent...

G has, a Swiss cheese and bread and a Swiss, Cheddar and bread cupcake...
the left over cheese, carrots, and strawberries.. He has a cookie hiding under the strawberries :)

(h)angry bird

G told me yesterday (because daddy got him cupcakes) that he wanted an hangry bird lunch (he adds an h to angry birds, love)

so as much as my artistic ability could handle this is what I came up with

Angry Bird.. is  bread and Swiss cheese (colored red)
slingshot is a marshmallow twist with a spaghetti string.

He has his cupcake, cheese and ham, carrots and grapes and his yogurt.
