Ice Skate

Staying with the letter I theme... back to what G originally asked for on Monday (before he changed his mind for Iron Man)

Ice Skate... G starts Hockey Lessons on Saturday so he is very excited about ice skating.

We were out late last night at a birthday party for one of his classmates, so I kind of thew this together this morning...

Bread ice skate boot, with cheese blade, ice skate written on more cheese.  Left over cheese and turkey, carrots, pretzel and a strawberry.

Iron Man

So driving home from school last night, we went over things that start with the letter I.  Then I asked what G wanted in his lunch today and he settled on an Ice skate.  Ok Great, my mind started turning and coming up with something cool.... then.... an hour later... Mommy I changed my mind.  I want Iron Man... that starts with I...
We all know how UN-artistic I am... but I think it turned out kind of cute...

Bread with red "paint" (ok it looks kind of purple in this photo) in an oval.  With the rest of Iron Man's face made out of cheese.  Then we have cheese and turkey roll ups (we will see how that goes, he usually likes his things apart), yogurt Carrots, a fresh made (we made them together last night) chocolate chip cookie, and oranges.

Letter I week

To tell you the truth I was feeling a bit lazy and unmotivated to make lunch this Monday morning, so simple was it....

Cheese and Bread letter I's.. Turkey with a set of eyes (ha that was my silliness of the lunch)
strawberries,  cookie, cheetos (because they look like I's) Carrots and yogurt.

Week in Review

I've been super swamped at work and home these days, so although I make G's lunches everyday (ok except today, he wanted to buy pizza) I haven't had much of a chance to blog them.  I promise to try to do better next week.

Friday November 8

Just a (L) Lunch... they talked about lunch at school last Friday, the cutest thing ever was G told me that they wrote a letter to the Cafeteria to ask for thing on the menu and he asked for Lobster... not that he has ever eaten Lobster.

His lunch was L cheese, cookies and carrots, pizza slices, turkey, crackers and applesauce.

Monday November 11

One big leaf - or Stinky leaves as G calls big oak leaves

Mac and cheese on the bottom,
Top is grapes, chicken, string cheese, a big leaf on whole wheat, and leaf sprinkles

Tuesday November 12 - T week

Train out of bread with cheese T and marshmallow smoke, more T cheese and turkey and oranges.


Wednesday November 13

G made a phone call home today to practice telephone skills.
If you look really hard you can tell it is a telephone... 
oranges, celery, turkey and cheese

Thursday November 14

Turtle - bread and cheese, with the word in more cheese and turkey.  Extra turkey and celery, apple sauce and some sprinkles under it.

Lollipop

Lollipop Lollipop.........

here is my interpretation of a lollipop, a couple of weeks ago G and I had a date and we ended at a candy store and he picked up one of those big swirly lollipops.

November Catch up

Even if I have not been diligent in posting here, I have still be making G lunches (and I do instagram everyday - summermum2) Work has just been down right crazy...


November 1 - completing letter of week H - Hayride

The truck is from bread with pasta hay, cheese pumpkins, some shell noodles, turkey and carrots.

November 4 (letter of the week is L) - Falling Leaves

Pretzel trees with cheese leaves, the ground is some bacon with an extra cheese stick.  turkey and carrots and strawberries.

November 5 - Lightning

Bread cloud, with lightning cheese pieces, carrots and chicken cubes, orange segments and a cookie


November 6 - Ladybug

  Soft  Pretzel with cheese wings and eyes.  Strawberries, turkey, and carrots in a flower cup and a cookie tucked in there too.

Monday - Thursday Lunches

Wow, where did this week go!

Here are G's lunches, sorry I haven't posted them daily.

Monday

G wanted chicken nuggets today, so I had to figure out a way to make it Halloweeny... so the dinosaurs are going trick or treating.   the road is tator tots (G calls them tatornauts.. love)
the door, is a little container that has carrots in it.  Then he has homemade applesauce from our trip to the apple orchard with a Trick or Treat pick and then Halloween gummies and pretzels.

Tuesday

 BOO!  A soft pretzel with a cheese ghost with a eye ring, in the pumpkin cup, turkey on a spider pick, ghost mini cheeses, carrots tucked in. More homemade apple sauce with a BOO pick.

Wednesday

G had an evacuation drill (it was canceled the last time)  So we had to have a disposable lunch, but of course I wanted to keep it with the Halloween Theme.

I didn't take a picture of the box, but it is a haunted house.

Thursday (today)

I know it doesn't look like much, but that is because G wanted to buy lunch today, they were having Halloweenies and French fries, but he still wanted his Cheese and pretzel, so I had to make the Halloween like.. skull and bat cheese, with Halloween pretzels.

Guess tomorrow we will be off of the Halloween theme.  It was fun!

Oh Here is the Snack I sent to school on Wednesday

In the haunted house boxes, homemade tortilla chips in Halloween shapes, strawberries on a spider stick and a cheese stick with a rubber finger.. oh and the ghost juice box. (looking at this picture I should of covered the top, oh well)
